Your account now has an activity log

Last updated:

We’ve added an activity log to your account.

It won’t help you work out what feature to build next, but it will make your account more secure.

What’s the activity log?

Feature Upvote’s activity log is a list of everything that happens in your account that might be interesting to you as an account admin. It is an audit that helps with traceability. It includes:

  • user creation and deletion
  • attempted account sign-ins, whether successful or not
  • board creation and deletion
  • subscription creation and modification
  • user password changes and resets

Accessing the activity log

  1. In your Feature Upvote account, click on the user icon in the top-right hand corner
  2. Select “Account” from the drop-down menu
  3. Select “Activity Log”

Or, if you are already signed in, go straight to https://app.featureupvote.com/dashboard/activitylog

Who can see the activity log?

Only signed-in admin users can view the activity log.

Why add an activity log?

We added the activity log to make your account more secure.

Security of SaaS products is a big concern. As a SaaS operator, we worry about security on your behalf. The activity log is part of our multi-faceted approach to security.

And, to be upfront, we also have a self-serving reason for adding the activity log: it makes it easier to get your IT security team’s approval for Feature Upvote.

What about privacy concerns?

The activity log is only viewable by your Feature Upvote account’s admin users.

Data is shown only for the last 3 months. An automated nightly task deletes older data.

Something missing from the activity log? You can request it on our feedback board.
